From my service manual on this tractor, #GSS-1397, I find no torque values given for those applications. However, in that same manual there is a Standard Torque Data chart for nuts and bolts. The L shape cover you speak of, on my tractor is installed with IH type 2 bolt, which is a SAE grade 5 bolt. It has a 9/16 hex head and 3/8" shank at 16 tpi. Torque those bolts at 33 to 37 ft lbs. Same with your Hydro trans filter cover, locate on the right side of the housing just below the brake pedals. For the drawbar support housing, they are also IH type 2 bolts, or a SAE grade 5 bolt, with a 15/16 hex head and 5/8" shank at 11 tpi. Those torque up at 160 min-180 max ft lbs. Type 1 IH bolts are SAE grade 1 or 2. Type 2 IH bolts have 3 lines on the head and are SAE grade 5. Type 3 IH bolts have 4 radial lines on the bolt head and are SAE grade 6. Type 4 IH bolts have 6 radial lines on the bolt head and are SAE grade 8. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Experimentation, from the most complex assembly to the most simple and mundane component, is as an integral a part of any farm tractor's development
