Mike, Either your timing is off, you've got burned valves or the gas you're using is really bad! My M with a 5' pull type hog with dull blades doesen't even hit the governor while mowing in third gear unless the grass is very tough and heavy, and that's with 2' tall stuff. Sounds like a rebuild is in order. Yes, the overbore sleeves will give a bit more power, as will a milling of the head. Switching to a Super M manifold and carb should help a bit too. A stout M will easily pull 50-60 HP on the dyno and handle a 6' hog without complaint. Phil
