As Kurt said IHC DID have their own bolt mfg. plant in West Pullman, IL. They made a VERY large percentage of their own bolts. We had one person that about ALL she did at FARMALL was order the bolts we used from West Pullman. Also as Kurt said IHC used to have foundries in most of their plants but closed most of them down in the 60's, & 70's. They had foundries in Waukesha WI (still in operation as part of Int. Trk & Eng), Memphis, TN, Inianapolis, IN, Louisville, KY; Their steel mill was called Wisconsin Steel, had 2 of their own Ore ships navigating the Great Lakes; and a closed die forging plant at Louisville also. The Lvl. plant was right next to the airport and is now gone. There was an article in Red Power Mag. a yr or so ago about the Coal Mine they owned in W. Virginia too.
