Ange - A sort of buzzing sound from the pump is normal for the Super M. Seems to be most noticable at idle - I suppose because it gets masked by other engine sounds at higher RPM. You can also feel the vibration in the hoses running to the pump. The noise be the same but MUCH more pronounced when the pump cavitates (runs low on hyd fluid). Yes, there's a seal on the pump shaft that keeps hyd oil from going into the engine. But I've never changed one so I can offer no advice...
