With that last bad answer I gave, I became gunshy in giving out any info. When I got my Farmall 300, hydraulic oil was in the tranny. I didn't feel comfortable with it, so I replaced it with 80w90. I felt it didn't give the gears enough protection, but I know the next guy will come along, say I'm nuts, and Hy-tran is perfect for the tranny, so, what I'm saying here is, it's personal preference, but that's only an opinion....Davet
