Thanks a bunch for the feedback. I noticed, just yesterday, that when the engine is idling there is a soft popping noise from the exhaust (not constantly, but seems random) when idling and it runs rich with lots of gas odor. When it is revved up, it runs for quite a while until it warms or heats up, and then the soft possing noise comes back, again randomly. I don't know if that is consistent with valves sticking or warped or not, but will check it out. Thanks again.
