BEFORE you apply that heat, try getting it doggone wet - with good old H2O, which is the universal solvent. soak it up good - try to keep it wet enough long enough to completely penetrate the old iron oxide. THEN apply the heat, gently! Too hot will do all sorts of rudeness to the metal's crystalline structure. Repeated cycles of heating and cooling with the water, and some judicious tapping to shock the bolts, should get things loosening up pretty soon for you. I keep the hot wrench as a last resort, as some old fasteners (and old castings) are hard to replace. Have patience, and good luck!
