Dick - Unlikely the culprit is the Charlynn unit. Rather it's a combination of worn steering shaft U-joint, worn worm and sector gear, worn or busted worm gear support ball bearing, worn bushings supporting the upper bolster pivot shaft (especially the upper one), and in the case of a WFE, worn tie rod ends/king pin bushings. Also loose front wheel bearings can cause shimmy at high speed. What you need to do is find out how much slack exists in each component, then go thru and renew them one at a time beginning with one with the most play. Ideally the steering wheel should have less than about 3/4" of free play at the rim. I have the same problem with my (non-power steered) Super H. Currently in the process of replacing worn pivot shaft bushings and a missing thrust bearing spacer. Punch below for pix of progress so far. Post a photo of your AC combine if you can - it sounds pretty slick! ...Bob M
