Good story John. I was trying to plant winter wheat one wet September and ran into the same getting stuck problem. I had the 584 stuck to the axels and my Case 300 was stuck in the bush from a logging attempt a few days before. It took a huge 4 wheel drive Case to rescue me. It sure is frustrating when you're trying to get the crop in. I hope you all manage to succeed without any more getting stuck. Down here in southern Ontario it has been the opposite, too dry and everyone is planting deep to get the moisture but if we ever get a heavy rain or a lot of rain we might be replanting ! good luck with the rest of the seeding.
