Scott there should be a tag on the transmission housing underneath the air cleaner. If not, there will be a serial number stamped on the engine either above or below the number one spark plug, closest to the engine. However you could very well have a different number if you find both. They didn't always match. Also look at the casting dates on the major cast iron components. The date will read something like 12@22@Z, with the letter Z being the casting year. See if the same letter shows up on the various castings.
