Ludwig - The Super M pretty well approaches the limit of 6 volt cranking power. I converted an SM (the one I now own) to 12 volts back in the late 70's. It was extremely difficult to crank on 6 volts after a motor rebuild that included a set of high compression pistons. The 12 volt conversion cured THAT problem in a hurry! 450 miles to your tractor? Wow!! Mine lives only 9 miles away and I think THAT'S too far!! ...Bob M
