Hi,

My cousin is looking at a 1979 IH154 LoBoy Tractor equipped with a front-end loader. From the picture I saw, I would say it has seen quite a bit of use. The asking price is $4,000.

It is my understanding that this tractor is rated at 14 HP. I have a 60 HP tractor which I'm sure is much more than my cousin needs for the 2 or 3 acres he will be playing around with (mowing, moving dirt, etc.). Still, I would think a tractor with a loader ought to have 30HP or better. And I would think $4,000 should buy more tractor than what he is looking at. What do you guys think?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
