Joe, You don't give much information, but I assume when you let the clutch out you are saying that the transmission is locked up and the engine smokes as you let the clutch out and load it down. It sounds like it is in two gears at once. You will have to take the top off the transmission and start there. It may be as simple as a bent shift fork or it may be much more. Anyhow, it is not too hard to take off the top to start looking for your trouble. Harold H
