seed plates for planters of that era were all interchageable. edge drop plates that were popular had numbers like 1977-A,1978-A,1979-A.
THERE WERE MANY OTHERS AND IN LATER YEARS THEY WERE MADE OF PLASTIC. SOME SEED CORN REQUIRED FLAT DROP TYPE PLATES(HICKORY KING FOR EXAMPLE) THES TYPE PLATES REQUIRED A SPACER RING.
