Jeff it is a rule that when you put undo pressure on a engine(turbo)that you cut the life in half unless the motor is made for turbos.The v8 is fine as long as it is left alone,but you get yahoos turning up the pump,putting turbos on and the motor comes apart,thats why you need the basket.If it was me i would leave the turbos alone.Good luck
