Kip, I believe I posted to your original question before Christmas. All of the Cotton pickers we sold in the Delta were bigger than your 404/314 so I am not real famaliar with this particular combination. I know that the International 2404 was available with a shuttle transmission (this was the industrial version of the International 404) however I was not aware that the Farmall 404 was available with this option, but oviously it was. Since yours has this shuttle, it much symplifies your converting it back to a regular Farmall tractor. You should not have too much trouble locating hitch arms at a salvage yard. The Farmall 404 was a very good tractor. All low drum cotton pickers that we ever had, like on H's, M's, F460's, etc., had the transmission reversed like I mentioned to you. Your engine is a 4 cylinder 134.8 cu in, 3 1/4 x 4 1/16" rated at 2000 rpm with a 7.7 compression ratio. The tractor was tested in Nebraska test # 818 with 33.47 db hp and 36.70 pto hp. For your $400 you hve made an excellent purchase and I believe you will really like the tractor when you get it running. Harold H
