I don't see why it would hurt. The book for my 400 Diesel says to use hytran which is really hydraulic fluid, same a quick lift. The only difference in the 400 trans is the TA. So if you want to, go ahead. I had my TA rebuilt using the heavy duty sprague lock up and the Mechanic told me to use 80/90 weight. So I use 80/90 in all 4 of my tractors. 400 and 300 Farmall, 300U and 600 International and I haven't any problems at all.
