You need the belt pulley drive. You can use the PTO, but better to use the belt pulley. Most Woods mowers for this type tractor drive off the belt pulley. You do not need the rear rock shaft for the mower. The mower lifts off the front rockshaft that is in front of the steering wheel on RH side of the tractor. I would leave the liguid in the tires to improve stability. You could do without it on a level location, but if you already have it, I would leave it, especially if you do not have rear wheel weights.
