Roger,I had about the same problem with my SA except I put the gas additive in this spring.It got so you really had to choke it to get it started.I took the carb apart and it had lots of grit in it so I sprayed with wd40 and blow everything out with air compressor and now shes back to starting right up.When I,am done with my tractors in the fall I like to drain all the gas out because in Canada its so cold gas seems to go gummy,so I think it depends on where you live as to what is the best way to store gas engines.Will
