My experiences with MF tractors is not that I missed supper because I didn't want to quit running it but that it died and I am still walking home. Our MF 285 dies about once a year and our '63 706 lp has to take over, even though it has more than twice as many hours. Don't even get me started on wrenching on Masseys, they must have designed them to be hard to work on. If your dad wants a MF I'll make him a deal on our 285, it just needs a head gasket (well for now anyway).
