B250 brakes

need to know stack height and clearence to cover . I have pulled apart and re lined discs. new balls in ramps and now brakes still not as good as thay could be thay are a bit savage and dont relise properly think th stack clearence to mutch should i machine brake cover to decrease clearence thanks old time
