I researched this a while back. I was going to do it. I was going to use compression tees and install on the pipes. This will give you 1/2 in I.D. of flow. You can also tap into where you mentioned, but those plug holes are only 1/4 npt. and can be retapped to 3/8 npt. This would be the easiest if you don't need the volumn fast. I was going to use a log splitter on mine, but changed my mind, because there is less that a gallon of fluid in that tank, whereas my Massey Ferguson has 12 gallons. The oil would just boil over using a splitter on the C or Super C...
