I have low oil pressure when B warms up. I suspect too much clearance between pump housing and gears. The cover plate is worn .004-.007" inch. I sanded that smooth on belt sander. The old gasket is .010.. Should that be a .005"gasket? I depth mic the housing, and I have .001 clearance w/o gaskets. The recommended free length of spring is .077 shorter that what service manual recommends. What will this do? Will this affect oil pressure? Can I just stretch it back out, or do I need to order new one?....Thanx for the advice..

This article will focus on what I encountered and what I did to bring the 1951 NEAR DEATH Farmall H back to life.
