IN TERMS OF GETTING YOUR A RUNNING THE SERIAL # DOESN'T REALLY MATTER. A '39 MIGHT HAVE A MAG AND A '46 MIGHT HAVE A COIL AND DISTRIBUTOR. EXCEPT FOR THAT THEY'RE VIRTUALLY IDENTICAL.
I'VE GOT A 1940 OWNERS MANUAL I CAN COPY FOR A FELLOW WESTERN NEW YORKER. A BETTER SHOP MANUAL CAN BE HAD @ CENTRAL TRACTOR FOR $22. THEIR CATALOG HAS USED MANIFOLDS, ETC., IF LOCAL PARTS CAN'T BE HAD CHEAPER. GOOD LUCK. CHRIS AUER
