The rolled screen will work, but won't it eventually get clocked as well? You said you cleaned the tank several times. Bet there are some guys on here that can go on and on about cleaning a rusty tank. I do the old shake, rattle and roll to rusted tanks. Take it off, empty and wash the interior. Get a handful of small rocks and put them in. Now for the fun. Start shaking the thing every which way from Sunday. When you're played out, shake it some more. Saw a fella strap an old tank onto a jacked up JD rear wheel and let her idle in gear all day and night with the tank full of rocks. Turned the tank around every now and then. Certainly was clean when he got done. There are also relining kits where you pour in a liquid, roll it around and let it set. Never used one, but someone here must have. I think if you get the rust out in the first place, your problem would be solved for a longer term.
