I have a dilemma that I hope some of you can help me with. I purchased another Cub a couple of months ago and I'm having a hard time identifying the belly mower it came with. I assumed it was an older Woods mower but after trying to find blades for it locally, I'm beginning to have doubts. I'm hoping that I can provide you with an adequate description of the mower in hopes that you can tell me if it's at least and older model Woods and if replacement blades are available. The mower lacks any identifying decals or ID plates except for a tiny portion of what appears to be a warning label on the front left corner of the deck. The deck is "hex" shaped and still has what is left of the original Orange paint. It has a 2 separate pieces of 4 1/2" shroud that bolt to the front and rear of the deck with 2 separate pieces that bolt to the sides. This closed design does not allow for any side discharge of clippings. The shroud is white as are the mower spindle pulley cover and the PTO pulley cover. The mower has two 1 1/2" pieces of angled steel (also white in color) that run the full length of the deck and extend beyond it to the bolting points on the rear drive housings. bearings are inserted into the angles at these mounting points to eliminate binding and assist in easy swiveling when hydraulically raising and lowering the mower. The angles bolt to ears welded to the deck at the front and back and have 3 holes drilled at the location of the rear mounting points to allow for manually setting the deck angle. The belt runs through the double pulley assembly which is mounted to a cross bar and is secured by a single pin at the base while belt tension adjustment is accomplished by turning a threaded "T-Handle" which moves the assembly forward or backwards. The pulley assembly is also white in color. The cutting width of this mower is 42 inches. The 2 blades are in desperate need of replacement as they have been worn and sharpened down to a point on the ends so it is difficult to know what the total length is supposed to be. Roughly, it appears that the blades cannot exceed 16" in overall length and have a 7/8" dia. hole located about an inch from the end for free swing mounting with 5/8" dia. hex bolts. The blades are 1/4" in thickness and are 2 1/2" inches in width and mostly flat with little or no offset. That's about the best description I can provide. I would be grateful for any assistance anyone can provide me with in determining the origin of this mower and the location of replacement blades.
