Yes, real tight. Took me a while to figure it out. After you get the main drive coupling and the clutch release sleeve loose, you have to compress the clutch and take it loose from the flywheel before you can get the drive shaft out. I got it out without taking out the cross shaft that works the clutch fork. However, I had to take out the cross shaft before I could get the thing back in.
