The white side panels on the 350/450 tractors were decals, not paint, so if you saw paint, it wasn't original. Ms were repainted by dealers to make them appear newer so they could sell used tractors. M&W also painted a few of the tractors they used as demonstrators to sell their parts with white grills and side panels-looked pretty snazzy. That being said, a few 350-450 tractors may have been shipped without decals- theres a photo or two that I've seen, but the photos may have been retouched. There may have also been some 300-400 tractors that were produced without the side panel decals, but then had the decals added by dealers or possibly at the factory when they had to be repainted after sitting in inventory so long.
