You should adjust for less pedal free travel to get the most clutch finger action. Try 1/2". The clutch comes out the bottom of the tractor without splitting it. The only real challenge is getting the u-joint bolts out. They are tapered and can require some work to get them out. Any brake and clutch shop can reline the disc. If it has been sitting for a long time, the clutch disc may be stuck to the flywheel or pressure plate. When you are sure you are depressing the clutch release fingers with the pedal, you can pull the tractor slowly to put load on the released clutch. Don't start the engine, just let the wheels spinit. If it is stuck it may free up. Although it will be damaged, it may last a long time.
