I don't know what the rich folks are doing but I uprooted my wife and daughter out of suburbia and moved us to a singlewide trailer on 5 flat acres of Texas prairie. I'd like to farm but my hard clay ground will barely grow weeds. I couldn't keep a riding lawn mower going out here so I bought me an old H with a 6ft. Woods belly mower for less than a garden tractor at Stuffmart. For what it's worth, I figure everybody should own a shotgun of whatever gauge they like...as far as everybody else's homage (taxes) goes, my children will never step foot into a government school but will be taught at home...and God willing I may one day have a barn big enough that I can store up 4 or 5 Farmalls to tinker with. I figure we have plenty to worry about other than what some bone headed yuppy is throwing his money at. Most of the yups I know have ZERO interest in getting their hands dirty or their knuckles busted; nor do they have a place to put a tractor if they had one. I'll get back off my soapbox now. I have enjoyed reading all your comments! Keep your powder dry. ;-)

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
