Farmall Ed: I might add one little bit more to the process. Give that front steering shaft portion a nice cleaning and oiling, so as when you pull it thru the radiator cavity it doesn't tear up the seal in back of gear box in the bolster. If you have the time and diligence it would be a good opportunity to replace the bushing and seal in the bolster anyway. Perhaps even the center steering mount lube bearing bushing. When reassembling adjust the position of radiator forward a little more before tightening up the nuts on the studs allowing for more space between radiator and pulleys. Next time the belt might have just that tad more clearance for slipping off more easily. An eighth of an inch helps. Of course that, which I have suggested, will eat up your vacation time and keep you away from the dinner table, not to mention a few $$$ more cost. "TU"
