You can replace the rod bushings but they will need to be fitted after replacing bored or honed. As far as which will wear more the bushing or pin the pin will wear just as much or more then the bushing or piston. You can check the old bushings with new pin and some very light clean oil, with a liberal amount of oil on the pin and in the bushing hold the rod side ways if the pin will fall through by it's self replace bushing if it goes through slow by it's self bushing OK if it looks good inside if you have to push on pin to get it through to tight
