Yup! You were right about the oil bath. That was always one of my jobs growing up,
on an H and the 51 Ford 8N.
I will put 20 hours in SLOW rides with the grandkids and then pull the pan.
This H has a power steering unit mounted on it. The installer hammered the hood out to make room for the resevoir. I havn't found any type A tranny fluid for it, yet. I'm not sure if the GM Dexron will satisfy it or not.
The gear oil will be soon. Thanx :)
