I had this problem on great Uncles Super M last summer. It would run, but stall. Start it and it would run for awhile, but not long. When I drained the tank the fuel was the color of old maple syrup really dark amber. Actually it kind of looked like varnish, which is kind of what it was. I drained into a pail and just left the pail outside in a safe place. It killed a mess of bugs, but in three or four days it was all gone. Fuel evaporates really quickly, if I'd had a wider pail it would have been gone much quicker too.
