If I understand your question, you want to know what to do with the return from the cylinder? On a one way system there is only one hose to the cylinder. It acts as supply and return both. there should not be a second hose connected to the cylinder. If you have a cylinder with 2 ports you need to get an air vent plug for the unused port, if the cylinder had oil in both sides you need to get the oil out of the unused side... I found this out the hard way by getting a oil bath when I fully stroked the piston, the Air vent plugs hole was pointed right at my back when seated on the tractor. I got about a quart of oil all over me! I'm including a photo of my hydraulic cylinder set up. It is connected only to the front port on the left side of the tractor.
