Dad's Super C had been smoking a little, when it started fouling plugs we figured it was time so in we went...head for a valve job, pistons out, (seems the only real problem was a stuck oil ring on #1, but here is the real question...when looking through the Quality Farm & Garden catalog at overbore kits, it said you need your block casting #, ours is 354898R1. and according to their parts book is a straight C block. The serial # plate has been missing for over 20 years, so we don't really know... it has quick hitch, touch control hydraulics, disc brakes, 3and1/8 bore in the sleeves, and the grille is 18 and 1/2" tall, and it has out pulled many a Super C and Straight H's, so we have always assumed it was a Super C. Is it possible that QF&G has misinformation? Are we assuming something that is false. or is there no wat to tell? Any help would be appreciated. Pete
