What they do is bore out the actual bore of the block (where the sleeve sits), and then insert a repair sleeve. I am not sure at this stage wether it is welded into the block, or sealed with a sealant. I know this is the same type of repair that is generally done on the cub engine blocks to bring them back to a standard bore after they have been bored to .060 over. Hopefully I will know more next week.
