I agree with you,Andy and once the tractor is run for a while there will not likely be any rust or side affect from it. I am an additive guy and I like Duralube ,I have never had an engine problem using this product and in this case I think it would be good for the old engine to get coated with a good lubricant while the rust wears off of the sleeve, and-or rings.
