Ok, I missed the part about the ball and spring on the previous response to this question. I've found some other things as well after reviewing the responses from before. If mine is holding true to what you folx have told me, then I've got a leaky pump or something. Initially, when I start it cold & use the hydraulics cold I can get up to 950lbs on the dial. then, as it warms, the pressure drops down to about 580 or so. I'm guessing I'll have to replace the seals, etc. I'm also looking for a 4 in boar cylinder so I can try to work with what I've got until I can get the parts to rebuild the pump. Guess I'll have to be waiting for the manuals after all, unless someone has some used manuals they'll sell me really cheap and priority mail them to me :-). Well, I can dream at least ;-).
