A power steering pump will not provide enough oil flow to do much. Some of them will develop a reasonable amount of pressure, but the oil flow is likely going to be about 1 or 2 gallons per minute, if that. About the only good approach is to put an after-market live pump (such as an M&W) behind the distributor. The liftall may be used as a reservoir. This gets you live power, and additional $$ need to be spent to get directional control of it. Also....be advised that the prevailing opinion seems to be that the timing gears on an M are the weak point in this setup. Supposedly, the later models are stronger.
