One thing I run into one time was that a battery was put in wrong and the tractor instead of charging battery up it run it down and charged it the other way and then was weak enough that it wouldn't start. The battery had some juice in it but not enough to start. Hooked battery charger up the right way which was actually the wrong way and the battery charger would charge battery up one way and the generator was working against the whole process. But if you have been around the tractor for awhile you will know how it has been. An H was originally a positive ground set up but some tractors have been switched over to negative ground. The simple looking at the battery + and - and hooking charger up accordingly is the right way to hook up charger unless battery is charged up backwards.
