I suppose you can only find a used one. If you can find one, you would want to rebuild it before you installed, so you might as well just rebuild the one you have unless the housing is broken. If you take it apart and put in new bearings, it will likely take out much of the play in the steering. Check the steering worm shaft bearing first by removing the big plug on the front of the steering gear. It's easy to replace and if worn will cause steering play.
