My granddaddy bought the very first Cub ever sold in this area. He was glad to get out from behind a mule. It was a good little machine, but it didn't hold a candle to the Super A we bought and used for years. We had a 2N, 8N, Super A and Cub and 4 mules up through 1963. Then we sold the Fords and Cub and bought a Ford 2000 and kept the Super A. The Super A is rated 17.3 drawbar HP, can pull a 2-bottom plow and cultivate like a champ! And around here(Eastern NC) even ragged-out SUper A's gor for a lot more than $1650. You can pick up a fertilzer distributor set for $100-200. It runs off a cog on the inboard side of the left bull gear, enagages automatically when the cultivattor is dropped.
