If the autoparts store does not work out and you have the old bearing. Hunt up a bearing supply house and try that. Most towns of much size will have a bearing supply place, especially if there is any industry around.

I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
