Doing some tune up work , This old girl has never had engine work done at all, blows no oil, and works quite easy in 2nd gear with a bottom plow breaking new ground. So , with compression on all 4 at 85psi, each cylinder coming up hard and fast on the first compression stroke, leads me to believe its just old age? I am guessing the factory specs were around 120 or so. That means a loss of 20 % compression over 45 years. No symptoms at all seen other than spark plugs on cylinders 2 and 3 have a mild carbon deposit, dry and flakey, if it on all 4 I would assume a rich fuel mixture, but whats going on with only the 2 cylinders? Would you guys leave the compression issue alone until syptoms show up and what is your low ball number for psi, before doing the engine?
