We have a 1066 with Kelly springfields, a 1066 with goodyears and Firestones on our 1086 and 826. The firestones are by far the best of the bunch, in poor conditions the 826 will put more to the ground than the 1066s. Around here the only long bar/short bar tires sold are sold to the guys that want a cheap tire, the guys who want a good tire buy Firestones. If you count the lugs a Firstone has more bars than the same size long/short bar tire. The Firestones will also last much longer, ours have around 3000 hours and are still around half tread, the short bars on the long/short bar tires virbrate and wear faster than the long ones. The only place for a long bar/short bar tractor tire is if you need a really hot fire.
