Try re-tapping the threads. You may be able to get some threads to hold. Since the plug is a tapered pipe thread, you can tap it out a little larger. Then use JB Weld or other gasoline-compatible epoxy to install a short pipe nipple and use a pipe cap instead of a plug. Depending on the bowl configuration you might be able to drill it out for 1/4" pipe and install a 1/4x1/8 bushing to use the 1/8 plug in. You could take the bowl to a welder and have a compatible bushing welded into the bowl. A used fuel bowl would be available from salvage yards but that would be the high-priced option. Another option is to epoxy the drain plug in place and do without it. You can always pull the carburetor to drain it. If you have a good in-line fuel filter the drain plug is of limited value.
