Sounds like what I was doing last weekend! The Ol' F-12 was pulling a New Holland 68 with a hay wagon hooked up to the back. I was testing out the baler in a neigbors wheat field. They have quite the modern farm set up and think I am nuts for messing with the old stuff.I guess I am nuts but then again I only have $1700 invested in a total hay making operation including the price of the tractor, rake, baler, tedder! The Older neighbor got conked in the head with a Farmall Regular crank handle when he was a kid and doesn't have much "room" for things like that on his farm anymore. He also didn't think the F-12 and that old baler was much until I pulled up with a bunch of straw on his wagon that his more modern equipment missed most likely from going too fast.(they had already baled the field the day before and I was getting new tires for the rear put on that day). He later asked me if I knew of a Regular that might be for sale! I think he may have gotten bit by the Old Iron Bug! Seeing the old stuff running and working well may have struck a note with him.It was a fun day!

To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
