From what I've seen on IH equipment over the years, and that includes tractors, Scouts, pickups and full size trucks, IH never made 2 exactly identical pieces of equipment. The question I ask is-just what exactly is right or original? There were constant changes as parts were revised or updated during model runs. They made H's & M's for 14 years and how many changes were made over that time? There are a lot of differences between a '39 and a '52 H. Some people will tell you that Dad's or Grandad's tractor wasn't that way. Well maybe Dad's tractor wasn't original either. Many farmers modified their tractors to suit individual needs. Some of those mods were ingenious solutions to problems and deserve some preservation in their own right. Don't pay any attention to the nitpickers, they probably know a lot less about originality than you do.
