If it affects 5th gear then it is not a M&W 9 speed. Could you post a picture of the linkage? Somebody on this site can identify anything. Anything faster than regular 5th does indeed sound scary. Watched a 560 with a prototype Sundstrand automatic transmission at a show and it reportedly was capable of 40mph, it hauled... and was flat dangerous to watch. Dick
